Workplace First Aid

This certificated course is designed to motivate and train a person to be the First Aid person capable of providing immediate first aid assistance in any situation.

Attendees are trained to a high standard of patient care with both instructor and peer assessment throughout the course. More than 50% of the course is practical so that attendees gain competency with the various First Aid techniques.

Who should attend?

Persons over the age of sixteen who are to be appointed as the designated First Aid person in the Workplace and people wanting a thorough knowledge of First Aid.

This is a 8 hour course made up of 8 hours class time.

What can I do?

Once you have successfully completed the course and recieved your First Aid certificate you will be able to become a workplace first aider at your place of employment.

You will also be well equipped to assist in any emergency.

When can I do this course?

These courses are run with a minimium of 6 people. They can be run on-site at your premises or from our Onehunga, Albany, Waikato or Gisborne offices.

What does it cost?

$170 Plus GST per person.

There is nothing that you need to bring as all training material will be provided.

Health and Safety in Temporary Traffic Management – TC

With the WorkSafe Health and Safety At Work Act 2015 (HSWA) it is more important than ever for workers to understand the principles, duties, roles, responsibilities and rights under the new act.

Evolve Training Academy has identified through a pilot scheme run at Evolution Road Services some serious gaps in knowledge:

  • Key roles under the HSWA for example: Officer, PCBU, Worker
  • Responsibilities of roles
  • Duties of roles
  • In depth Worker responsibilities
  • Workplace rights and responsibilities

Learning Intentions:

  • The learning intentions for this course are to give staff an understanding of the HSWA and how it is applied in the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) space. We link the act to CoPTTM and real world TTM examples to put the act into perspective.

Course Structure:

  • The course is both theory and practical with a classroom session where attendees complete a HSWA workbook that runs alongside a presentation.
  • Practical Hazard Identification
  • A mock worksite and TMP is used to complete CoPTTM paperwork
  • TTM Health and Safety scenario exercises

Duration:

  • 4 Hours or a half day
